Join Julie T. Chapman and Greg Beecham for this non-instructional Wildlife Photography Event. One afternoon they will be working on painting demos and will be available to critique work and discuss anything related to art and the art business

February 5-8, 2027, Triple “D” Wildlife Ranch will offer 8 spectacular wildlife photo sessions with the best Triple “D” has to offer in late winter conditions. An organizational meeting is scheduled on February 5th in the Triple “D” Conference Room for all participants attending this event. The cost is $1250. This Event will be limited to 12 participants. If time allows optional sessions will be offered at the reduced price of $175 per/participant. Triple D recognizes the importance of placing our animals in a location with proper lighting as it is essential for reference photos often desired by artists.

About Julie

Julie grew up on a small family farm in Ohio but always felt the pull of the mythical west; with a degree in computer engineering, she went to work for Hewlett Packard in California. After 18 years working in high tech, she won the 2002 Arts for the Parks Grand Prize and decided to take the leap – out of engineering and out of California – into a full-time art career in western Montana. Her current annual exhibitions include Western Visions and the Buffalo Bill Art Show.

Julie has followed an interesting art journey, from realism-based oil paintings, to pioneering scratchboard as a fine art medium, and now to a ‘disrupted-realism’ painting style. Her demo will focus on the latter, with discussion of how she develops a digital design sketch and her use of mixed media (including acrylic, oil, charcoal, and more).

About Greg

After a forty-seven-year career of painting wildlife art, Greg Beecham is no less passionate about learning and growing as an artist than he was the first full-time in the late summer of 1978.

Beecham considers his life work as an artist to be a journey. There have been few paintings that have come close to matching his vision. But he continues to press on, hoping to match vision with reality. He believes his talent, opportunity, and passion

to paint are gifts from God, and that is his responsibility to pursue excellence in art and be a blessing to those who view his work. Beecham’s work is included in the permanent collections of many museums. Beecham’s work has also been covered in numerous magazines. Greg has been married to Lu Beecham for 48 years. They have a son and daughter, both grown, whom they are very proud of.
